What Is a Walk Up Wedding?

Description: A Walk Up Wedding is exactly what it sounds like — you walk up, you get married. Paul performs the ceremony in the chapel at Westwind Club. Guests are welcome. Bring your photographer. Time is allowed after the ceremony for photos — but this is not a reception venue, so the celebration continues wherever you choose to take it next. No months of planning required. Copy tone should be accessible, warm, and low-pressure.

This is a full ceremony — not a courthouse transaction. Every Walk Up Wedding includes:

  • Ring exchange — a real, meaningful moment built into every ceremony
  • Music — setting the atmosphere from the moment guests arrive
  • Optional bridal entrance — including the traditional giving away of the bride, for couples who want it
  • Personal vows — the one customization available within the Christian or civil ceremony script

The script is Christian or civil — no changes beyond personal vows — but everything that makes a wedding feel like a wedding is included. Romantic, complete, and ready in minutes.

How to Book

  1. Check the calendar for availability
  2. Book online or call/text 832-413-5283
  3. Bring a valid Texas marriage license (issued by any County Clerk)
  4. Show up and get married

▌ Marriage License Note

A Texas marriage license must be obtained from the County Clerk prior to the ceremony. A 72-hour waiting period applies after issuance. Two waivers are available: (1) Active-duty military waiver, or (2) Twogether in Texas — couples who complete the state-approved premarital education course receive a waiver of the 72-hour waiting period AND a $60 reduction in the license fee.

Ceremony Type

Walk Up Wedding ceremonies are a choice between Christian or Civil only. There is no customization of the ceremony script beyond personal vows.

However, this is a complete, romantic ceremony — not a stripped-down legal formality. Every Walk Up Wedding includes a ring exchange, music, and an optional bridal entrance with the traditional giving away of the bride. Personal vows are the one permitted customization within the script. The ceremony is full; only the script is fixed.
